Position Description

 

The Service Now Administrator will be responsible for delivery, maintenance, and support of the enterprise ServiceNow platform in a fast-paced environment. Primary focus (80%) is the day-to-day support and administration of the platform, new project initiative involvement and stability of the existing deployed modules. Secondary focus (up to 20%) will be to troubleshoot complex issues and provide fixes / solutions for deployment. This role will require the admin to work effectively in both an independent and team-oriented environment. 

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

·  Serve as ServiceNow Administrator for ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, Asset Management) and other ITSM implementations.

·  Write, test and debug common script types including Client Scripts, UI Policies, Business Rules, and Script Includes, using JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS and Jelly as required

·  Configure and improve core and custom applications

·  Administer and provide troubleshooting for any MID Server issues

·  Work directly with internal customers to resolve support issues within established service levels

·  Configure and maintain Discovery schedules

·  Configure and maintain Orchestration activities

·  Create ServiceNow reports, dashboards & homepages

·  Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of Service Now

·  Assist in building and maintaining internal technical documentation, manuals, policies, and processes

·  General support, administration, and maintenance of ServiceNow platform and associated applications

·  Create custom ServiceNow widgets using Angular and Javascript to display data to the business

·  Perform installation and testing of Service

·  Participate in code reviews and review all technology-related deliverables.

 

 

Experience Needed

·  Experience needed in Service now Quebec and Rome Release

·  Experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules: Service Mapping, Discovery, Event Management, Cloud Management, Orchestration, CMDB, and Asset Management.

·  Knowledge of various discovery technologies

·  Working knowledge and experience in storage, network, and compute of enterprise environments etc.

·  Have good understanding of domain separations and User Lifecycle Management

·  Experience in data loading via import sets and transform maps.

·  Experience of handling Bug Fixes and Enhancement requests

 

Qualifications

·  Conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, ITIL and Agile Frameworks

·  Minimum 2+ of ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CMS, SecOps modules of ServiceNow

·  2+ years technical experience in building ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Event Management)

·  Scripting/Reporting experience is highly Preferred eg: Javascript, Angular, Jelly, HTML

·  Minimum of 1 years of experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping

·  Minimum of 1 years of experience with Web Services, HTML, REST, XML, and JavaScript in Service Now

·  Minimum of 1 years of experience working with LDAP, Azure AD and Active Directory

·  Strong technical understanding of the ServiceNow platform in general and Integration tools

·  Certification required: ServiceNow Sys Admin. Certification preferred: Discovery, CMDB

·  A Computer Science degree or equivalent IT technical Diploma.

·  A strong understanding of ITIL practices. ITIL V4 Cert preferred

·  Frequently assigned to changing priorities.

De​veloper:

Position Description

 

The Developer position will be responsible for design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, REST and SOAP) to support business requirements on the ServiceNow platform, working on key projects and initiatives. The developer will be responsible for the hands-on development on the ServiceNow platform as well as aiding in the solution design when required. Core focus will be solutions in the Change Management, ITOM, Event Management and CMDB areas, but will also need experience in all ITSM Core areas.

 

This role will require the developer to work effectively in both an independent and team-oriented environment. 

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

·  Serve as ServiceNow Technical engineer for ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, Asset Management) and other ITSM implementations.

·  Provide development to include creation, configuration, and customization of patterns, Discovery Schedules, Event rules, application fields, from design, business rules, client scripts, user roles and groups, access controls, and more on the various system applications

·  Build and execute integrations to existing and new IT Operations Management tools such as PagerDuty, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Jira SD, Okta, Azure AD, Office 365 using ServiceNow workflows, scripting, and web services/REST APIs as required.

·  Write, test and debug common script types including Client Scripts, UI Policies, Business Rules, and Script Includes, using JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS and Jelly as required

·  Integrate ServiceNow ITOM modules with a variety of enterprise monitoring tools, automation of alerts, application management tools using plugins and API methods.

·  Develop integrations to existing IT Operations Management tools using ServiceNow workflows, scripting, and web services/REST APIs as required.

·  Participate in code reviews and review all technology-related deliverables.

 

 

Experience Needed

·  Experience needed in Service now Quebec and Rome Release

·  Experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules: Service Mapping, Discovery, Event Management, Cloud Management, Orchestration, CMDB, and Asset Management.

·  Hands-on with ServiceNow integrations to Azure, VMware, integration & automation expertise with 3rd party tools such as PagerDuty, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Jira SD, Okta, Azure AD, Office 365,

·  Knowledge of various discovery technologies

·  Experience integrating ServiceNow with various event management platforms (Splunk, Axonius, SolarWinds, AlertSite, Nagios and Dynatrace)

·  Working knowledge and experience in storage, network, and compute of enterprise environments etc.

·  Have good understanding of domain separations and User Lifecycle Management

·  Experience in data loading via import sets and transform maps.

·  Experience of handling Bug Fixes and Enhancement requests

·  Experience scripting with Perl, WMI, SSH, JavaScript. SNMP

 

Qualifications

·  Conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, ITIL and Agile Frameworks

·  Minimum 4+ of Development and administration experience ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CMS, SecOps modules of ServiceNow

·  4+ years technical experience in building ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Event Management)

·  Working knowledge of Discovery and Application Dependency mapping with tools such as Application Dependency Mapping (ADM), SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor, Dynatrace.

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience with Web Services, HTML, REST, XML, and JavaScript

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience working with LDAP, Azure AD and Active Directory

·  Strong technical understanding of the ServiceNow platform in general and Integration tools

·  Experience working within Agile delivery methodology

·  Certification required: ServiceNow Sys Admin. Certification preferred: Discovery, CMDB

·  A Computer Science degree or equivalent IT technical Diploma.

·  A strong understanding of ITIL practices. ITIL V4 Cert preferred
